Conecuh County Student Studying Agriculture Earns College Scholarship
Auburn University student Ally Jackson of Conecuh County received a $1,750 scholarship from the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation and Conecuh County Farmers Federation. She was recognized at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Scholarship Reception at the Ham Wilson Livestock Arena in Auburn Sept. 20. Jackson, who is from Castleberry, is a freshman studying poultry science production. Conecuh County's Padgett Places In Junior Beef Expo Showmanship Class
Class 24 Junior Division Showmanship winners at the Junior Beef Expo (JBE) were, from left, Mylee Stagner of Mobile County, first; Silas Gullatt of Lee County, second; Jack Redmon of Pike County, third; Bryan Lambert of Lowndes County, fourth; and Emma Padgett of Conecuh County, fifth. The contest was March 16 at the Teague Arena in Montgomery. JBE is presented by the Alabama Farmers Federation and held in conjunction with the SLE Rodeo at Garrett Coliseum.
Conecuh Sausage Co. Hosts Auburn University College Of Agriculture Students
Auburn University College of Agriculture students toured farms and businesses across the state March 11-17, including Conecuh Sausage. The trip was sponsored by the Alabama Wheat & Feed Grain Producers.
