Williamson Re-Elected To State Young Farmers Committee
Spencer Williamson of Escambia County was re-elected to a second two-year term on the State Young Farmers Committee during the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 97th annual meeting in Montgomery Dec. 3. He will serve District 8, which includes Baldwin, Butler, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe and Washington counties. As a member of the 10-person committee, he will help organize the 2019 Young Farmers Conference and work to grow involvement throughout his district. Mizes Compete In Annual Young Farmers Excellence In Agriculture Competition
Matt and Sarah Mize of Flomaton in Escambia County were among seven competitors in the 2018 Young Farmers Excellence in Agriculture contest at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 46th Commodity Producers Conference in Montgomery Aug. 4. Excellence in Agriculture contestants are involved in agriculture but derive less than half their income from production ag.
