Lowndes County Farmers Federation Recognizes Scholarship Recipients
Lowndes County Farmers Federation 2017 scholarship recipients were honored during an awards dinner April 18. Outgoing, Incoming County Presidents Honored
Incoming Lowndes County Farmers Federation President David Lee and outgoing President Hal Pate were recognized during the Presidents Luncheon at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 95th annual meeting Dec. 5 in Montgomery. Pate, center, received a plaque for his two years of service, and Lee, right, received a pin to commemorate his election. The two are pictured with Alabama Farmers Federation President Jimmy Parnell.
Lowndes County Student Studying Agriculture Receives College Scholarship
Auburn University student and scholarship recipient Laura Jean McCurdy of Lowndesboro was recognized during the Alabama Farmers Federation 2016 Scholarship Recipients Luncheon Aug. 27 at the Ham Wilson Arena in Auburn. McCurdy graduated from Lowndes Academy and studies agricultural communications.The $1,750 scholarship was funded by the Lowndes County Farmers Federation and the Federation’s Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation. County Members Welcome Alabama Farmers Federation President
Alabama Farmers Federation President Jimmy Parnell spoke to Lowndes County Farmers Federation members June 28. Since becoming president in December 2012, Parnell has visited members from all 67 counties each year to discuss what's going on at the home office and hear their questions or concerns.
