Marion County Farmers Federation Earns 2018 Award of Excellence
The Marion County Farmers Federation received the Award for Excellence Dec. 3. during the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 97th Annual Meeting in Montgomery. To earn the distinction, counties must score at least 80 points out of 100 on the award application, which covers involvement in agricultural programs, governmental affairs, county Women’s Leadership and Young Farmers committees.

Marion County Students Participate In Alfa Youth Leadership Conference
Marion County students Karlee Hardin, Jon Page, Carson Spiller and Samuel Sutton sharpened leadership skills during the Alfa Youth Leadership Conference at the 4-H Center in Columbiana Oct. 8-9. Hardin attends Marion County High School, while Page, Spiller and Sutton are students at Hamilton High School. They were sponsored by the Marion County Farmers Federation. Danley Competes In Annual Young Farmers Discussion Meet Contest
Trent Danley of Hamilton in Marion County was one of 15 competitors in the 2018 Young Farmers Discussion Meet contest at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 46th Commodity Producers Conference in Montgomery Aug. 4.
