County Farmers Visit U.S. Rep In Washington, D.C.

Finley Re-Elected To State Wildlife Committee

Winston County Farmers Federation Earns 2018 Award of Excellence
The Winston County Farmers Federation received the Award for Excellence Dec. 3. during the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 97th Annual Meeting in Montgomery. To earn the distinction, counties must score at least 80 points out of 100 on the award application, which covers involvement in agricultural programs, governmental affairs, county Women’s Leadership and Young Farmers committees.

Students Learn Fun Side Of Farming During Annual Event
The Winston County Farmers Federation held a Farm Day Oct. 4. About 75 students from across the county learned about farming equipment, cattle and drove the Fatal Vision program vehicle, which simulates drunk driving.

Seymore Claims Prize in Annual Tablescapes Contest
Kim Seymore of Winston County received second place in the tablescapes contest at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 46th Commodity Producers Conference in Montgomery Aug. 4. She won $100, courtesy of the Federation’s Women’s Leadership Division, for her beef-themed display.
