Boiled corn on the cob
6-8 ears fresh sweet corn
Salt to taste
Shuck corn, then clean well with a vegetable brush, removing all corn silks.
Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil; place ears into boiling water and immediately turn off the heat. Allow corn to sit for as few as 15 minutes for firmer corn, or 30 minutes for more tender corn. Serve with butter and salt.
