Gov. Kay Ivey on Friday signed the $6.4 billion Education Trust Fund (ETF) budget, which includes funding important to Alabama farmers.
The budget provided $5 million for Career and Technical Education Operations and Maintenance and $4.1 million for the Career Tech Initiative. ETF funding for the Resource Conservation and Development program increased by $200,000 to $1.78 million.
The Alabama Agricultural Land Grant Alliance, Soil and Water Conservation Committee, Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and rural medical programs were level funded, when compared to the current fiscal year.
