Farm bill negotiators are expected to pass a conference report after midterm elections in November.
Though the 2014 bill expired Sept. 30, lawmakers said they’re still working to provide producers with certainty amid low commodity prices and trade woes.

The timeline change raises questions about how dynamics could alter talks if Republicans lose the House or Senate.
