Ag Discovery Adventure Day will give consumers a taste of farm life Sept. 23 at E.V. Smith Research Center (EVSRC) in Shorter. Attendees of the free event will learn about technology, agriculture and food production.
During last year’s event, technology’s role in agriculture was highlighted through yield monitors and GPS. The same technology will be on display this year, as will peanut digging, cotton picking and GPS-guided hayrides. Pumpkin and corn mazes will be available. Attendees will also learn how to cast a fishing pole and how to harvest rainwater.
