The budget would provide $5 million for Career and Technical Education Operations and Maintenance; $4 million for the Career Tech Initiative; $5.2 million for the Alabama Agricultural Land Grant Alliance; $1.5 million each for the Soil and Water Conservation Committee program and Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) program; $31.1 million for the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station and $32.5 million for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. All amounts are identical to Fiscal Year 2017 appropriations. Also level funded were rural health programs at Auburn University, the University of Alabama, the University of Alabama Huntsville and Tuskegee University.
