Entering its 23rd pumpkin season, Tate Farms is the oldest pumpkin patch in north Alabama. With over 80 acres of pumpkins, Tate Farms is the destination for pumpkins and fall decor. Activities include hayrides to the pumpkin field to pick a fresh pumpkin off the vine, pedal carts, petting animals, a HUGE barnyard playground, 4 corn cribs, 2 jumping pillows, hay maze and corn train rides. Tate Farms also has two commercial kitchens, a bakery and two country stores.

During October, Backyard Orchards has pumpkins, corn stalks, homemade fudge and ice cream and admission to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. A corn maze experience is available Saturday nights during October. Activities include an obstacle course, corn bin, cow train, ducky races, pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon rides and more. Backyard Orchards has “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” themed activities and movie nights on Saturdays. Family packages and field trip rates are available. Field trips include an educational session on pumpkins and cotton.
