PASTA SALAD

Ingredients

8 ounces rotini noodles
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup bacon bits
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Preparation

Cook pasta according to package directions; rinse and drain. Add onion and 2 tablespoons bacon bits. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, Parmesan, sugar and garlic salt in large bowl to make a dressing. Pour pasta into dressing; mix, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Sprinkle with remaining bacon bits before serving. Serves 8-10.
Note: For a vegetable-healthy dish, Donna suggests adding 1 chopped zucchini, 1 cup chopped fresh cauliflower and/or 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli or adding grilled chicken for a one-dish meal.
