Fall Roundup and Taste of Alabama Agriculture, better known as Ag Roundup, will celebrate its 38th year on the Auburn University campus homecoming Saturday, Sept. 16.

The event begins at 11 a.m. at Ag Heritage Park and runs until 2 p.m., an hour before kickoff of the homecoming football game between the Auburn Tigers and the Mercer University Bears.

Sponsored by Auburn’s College of Agriculture and the Auburn Agricultural Alumni Association, Ag Roundup is a giant tailgate party featuring a wide variety of foods grown or processed in Alabama. Typical fare runs the gamut from fried chicken and fried catfish to collard greens and boiled peanuts.

The event increases public awareness of Alabama agriculture’s impact on the state’s economy and of Auburn’s heritage as a land-grant university.

In addition to food, Ag Roundup features children’s activities and informative exhibits plus live and silent auctions. Proceeds support student scholarships in the College of Agriculture.

Admission to Ag Roundup is $5 per person, payable at the gate, with children 6 and under admitted free.

Ag Heritage Park is on South Donahue Drive between Lem Morrison Drive and West Samford Avenue. Ag Roundup’s main entrance is between the Ham Wilson Livestock Arena and the Alabama Farmers Pavilion.
