Ingredients

2 3/4 cups plain flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 (16-ounce) box brown sugar
3 eggs
1 /4 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar, mixing well. Allow mixture to cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add milk, then flour mixture, stirring to blend well. Stir in pecans and chocolate morsels. Pour into a greased 10- x 15-inch or 9- x13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees 25-30 minutes. Cut into squares before completely cooled. —Nell Smith, Covington County
