Social distancing restrictions to combat COVID-19 prompted the Alabama Supreme Court this week to suspend all in-person proceedings until April 16.

The announcement applies to circuit, district, juvenile, municipal, probate and appellate courts. Exceptions to the suspension include emergency matters related to child protection, abuse, the  elderly, law enforcement and COVID-19.
