The Alabama Farmers Federation welcomed three River Region natives to its staff Feb. 6. Anna Britton, Shan Julian and Emily Perry will serve the organization’s 345,000 members through event planning and health insurance sales.
Britton joined Destinations, the Federation’s acclaimed in-house meeting-coordination and travel agency. As a meeting planner, Britton will coordinate conferences and events for the Federation and its affiliated insurance company, Alfa.
The Montgomery County native joins Destinations from Alfa’s Pike Road service center, where she was a customer sales representative. She has previous experience in the hospitality industry. Britton lives in Montgomery.
“I am so excited for this amazing opportunity to be a part of the best events team! I’m ready to work hard and serve the members,” said Britton, 21.
Meanwhile, the Federation’s Alfa Health team welcomed Julian and Perry as data entry clerks. The duo joins a team committed to helping Federation members and other health insurance seekers navigate the health care marketplace.
Julian was previously a customer service representative at Lincare, where she worked with cardiac patients. She is a Faulkner University graduate with a master’s in human resources with a health emphasis. She also has a degree in insurance medical billing and coding from Herzing University. A native of Montgomery, Julian has a 2-year-old daughter.
“The greatest gift you can give yourself and your family is a healthy you,” said Julian, 27. “That’s why I’m passionate about our work at Alfa Health.”
Perryjoins the Federation with experience providing customer service to clients in the River Region at animal hospitals and doggy day cares. She studied sociology and anthropology at the University of Montevallo and is a native of Wetumpka in Elmore County.
“I’m so excited to join the wonderful Alfa Health team,” said Perry, 24. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’ve already learned so much.”
