Outstanding Young Farm Family applications are due Jan. 15 at AlfaYoungFarmers.org. Applicants must be 18-35 years old and receive the majority of their income from production agriculture. The prize package is worth over $60,000.

Alabama Farm of Distinction applications are due Jan. 24 at AlabamaFarmCity.org. The Farm of Distinction winner will represent Alabama in the Swisher Sweets / Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year contest and receive over $20,000 in prizes.

Young Farmers Conference registration is due Jan. 31 at AlfaFarmers.org. The conference is Feb. 28-March 1 in Mobile and features farm tours spread across Baldwin and Mobile counties. New this year is Foundation Night Out featuring musician Justin Jeansonne.
