Help Is Just A Phone Call Away

A new toll-free number is now available for customers to report claims when their local Alfa office is closed. The number, 1-800-964-2532, is set-up to begin the claims process and will only be available to take the initial claim report after regular business hours, during holidays and weekends. During normal business hours, customers should continue to report claims to their local Alfa office for quality claims service. “The toll-free claims phone number will redirect callers during regular business hours and encourage them to contact their local Alfa office,” said Vice President of Marketing Resources Susan Adcock. “This will allow our customers to continue to report their claims using our normal best business practices. After regular business hours, an operator at the toll-free number will answer and take the call.”Those who benefit the most are Alfa’s valued customers, who will have an additional way to contact the company should they need to report a claim after hours. “This is really a customer service enhancement tool,” said Senior Vice President of Claims Jerry Johnson. “It helps us to improve our customer service capabilities and gives customers one more outlet for letting us know when they need our help.”The number is advertised on Alfa’s website and to policyholders via an informational claims card to be distributed at Alfa offices. The claims card contains instructions on how to file a claim, the appropriate after-hours number to call and a space to write their local Alfa office’s phone number. This handy card is something policyholders can keep with them should there be an unfortunate event where a claim has to be reported.”Services like this help to make the customers feel better knowing they are being taken care of or just being able to talk to someone during any hour,” said Adcock. “This is just another service we can provide to our customers to help them should they ever need us.”
