The Primary Runoff Election originally scheduled for March 31 has been postponed until July 14. Gov. Kay Ivey made the decision in light of concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. 

The announcement followed an emergency ruling from Attorney General Steve Marshall giving Ivey authority to delay the runoff under the State of Emergency declaration.
