Harold McCool of Gordo died Jan. 1. He was 80.

McCool was a former Alabama Farmers Federation state board member and past president of the Pickens County Farmers Federation.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diane McCool; sons Chris McCool (Sherri) and Tim McCool (Tracie); and grandchildren Meredith Owens (John Morgan), Madison Dunn (Heath), and Austin (fiancée Julia Melvin), Ashleigh, Abigail, Mason, Asher, Elizabeth and Lila McCool.
