1 (8-ounce) jar mild Mexican-flavored pasteurized processed cheese spread, softened
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
2 (16-ounce) cans hominy, drained
3 cups crushed corn chips
Combine cheese spread, soup, onion, garlic and chili powder in a saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring, until cheese melts and mixture is blended well. Place hominy in a greased 3-quart casserole. Pour sauce evenly over hominy. Sprinkle corn chips over top. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings.
