3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 (9-inch) deep-dish pie shell, unbaked
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
In a bowl, mix together apples, 3/4 cup sugar, flour and cinnamon. Arrange apple slices in a circle in pie shell.
Beat the eggs, cream, vanilla, and 1/4 cup sugar until well blended. Pour mixture evenly over top of apples. Cover with tented foil and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes. Serve slightly warm.
