SKINNY DIP IN A BREAD BOWL

Ingredients

1 round or oblong bread loaf, unsliced
1 1/2 cups low-fat sour cream
1 (8-ounce) package low-fat cream cheese
2 cups chopped low-fat ham
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon liquid from a jar or can of jalapeno peppers
2 cups grated low-fat cheddar cheese

Preparation

Carve around the edges of bread loaf and scoop out pieces from inside, leaving bottom and sides intact to form a bowl. Reserve bread pieces for dipping.
In a mixing bowl, stir sour cream and cream cheese together until smooth. Add other ingredients and mix well. Spoon ham and cheese mixture into the bread bowl. Wrap in foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve warm with reserved bread pieces, crackers and/or chips.
