EGG BREAD

Ingredients

1/4 cup melted fat
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon soda
2 eggs

Preparation

Stir all ingredients together to combine. Pour into a greased 8- or 9-inch square baking dish and bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Note: For melted fat, Sandy uses butter-flavored Crisco.
