Ingredients
1 large box flavored gelatin*
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups hot water
1/2 cup bottled lemon juice
3 (42-ounce) cans unsweetened pineapple juice
1 tablespoon almond flavoring
2 quarts ginger ale
Preparation
Combine sugar and gelatin; add hot water and stir until gelatin dissolves. Stir in lemon juice, pineapple juice and almond flavoring. Mix together well. Pour into plastic containers and freeze. Remove from freezer one hour before serving. At serving time, crush until slushy, then blend in ginger ale. (Additional ginger ale may be added). Makes 50 servings. (*Use strawberry or cherry gelatin for Christmas, orange for Halloween and island pineapple for teas, showers and weddings.)
