Start-to-finish: 50 minutes (10 minutes active)
3/4 cup light corn syrup
½ cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell
1 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 375 F. In a large saucepan, combine syrup, sugar and butter. Cook together over medium heat until thick.
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Slowly pour hot syrup over eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell, cover with pecans and bake at 375 F until shell is well cooked, about 40 minutes.
