Southern Smothered Pork Chops & Rice

Southern Smothered Pork Chops & Rice

1 pack thin pork chops (about 4) 
Seasonings of choice (I use garlic powder, salt, pepper and Conecuh seasoning.)
2 packages Knorr mushroom-flavored rice
1 small container heavy cream

Season pork chops generously with garlic powder, salt, pepper and Conecuh seasoning (or preferred seasonings). Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium and cook pork chops until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside. In a separate pot, prepare mushroom rice according to package directions. Once rice is cooked, cover and simmer briefly. Add cooked rice to the cast-iron skillet. Reduce heat to medium and pour in heavy cream. Stir until well combined. Let cream and rice warm together. Return pork chops to skillet and coat with the creamy mushroom rice. Cover 5 to 7 minutes. Remove lid and serve.
