SNICKERS PIE
SNICKERS PIE
Ingredients
1 (9-inch) deep-dish pie crust, unbaked
5 (2.07-ounce) chocolate caramel candy bars with peanuts
1 cup sugar
4 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons heavy cream
2/3 cup chocolate chips
Preparation
Bake crust at 450 degrees for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees. Cut candy bars in half lengthwise, then into 1/4-inch pieces. Arrange candy pieces over bottom of partially baked crust. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cream cheese, beating until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add sour cream and peanut butter, beating until smooth. Pour over candy in crust. Bake 30-40 minutes, or until center is set. Cool completely. When cool, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until very warm. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Spread over cooled pie. Refrigerate 2-3 hours before serving.
