PARTY MEATBALLS

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 (12-ounce) bottle chili sauce
1 (8-ounce) jar grape jelly
Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation

Combine ground beef, onion and egg, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place in a greased 9- x 13-inch pan and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until meatballs are browned. Drain grease from pan. Reduce oven heat to 300 degrees. In a saucepan, combine chili sauce, jelly and lemon juice. Heat over low heat, stirring, until jelly melts and mixture is smooth. Pour over meatballs. Bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes. Serve as appetizer with toothpicks or as main dish. Makes about 30 meatballs.
