Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) bag dried black beans, rinsed and drained
2 medium onions, chopped
2 cups celery, chopped
1 large ham bone (with some meat still on it)
3 quarts of water (or enough to cover bone)
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Place all ingredients in large soup pot. Bring to a boil and simmer until beans are tender, about 4-6 hours.
