MOTHER’S TEACAKES
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 egg
2 1/2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Cream together the sugar and margarine. Add egg and beat well. Sift together the flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in vanilla. Cover and refrigerate dough to chill thoroughly. On lightly floured wax paper, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on cookie sheet that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes about 2 dozen.
