Ingredients
1 whole chicken
Salt and pepper
1 cup boiling water
Preparation
Cut chicken in half; salt and pepper. Place in a greased iron skillet. Cook at 500 degrees until brown. Add water and cover tightly with aluminum foil. Return to oven and turn heat off. Let chicken stay in oven until cool enough to eat (usually a couple of hours).
