Ravioli Soup

Start-to-finish: 35 minutes 

1 pound ground mild pork sausage or ground beef

1 teaspoon onion salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, optional

2 cups water

3 15-ounce cans crushed tomatoes

1 6-ounce can tomato paste

1 small package refrigerated cheese ravioli

Grated Parmesan cheese


Brown meat and drain off fat. Add seasonings to meat. Then, add the rest of ingredients except for ravioli and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer. Cook ravioli separately according to package directions; drain. Add ravioli to soup and heat through. Stir in the Parmesan cheese. (Adapted from Taste of Home magazine.)
