Easy Peach Cobbler

Start-to-finish: 30 minutes
1 1/2 cup peaches, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cup sugar, divided
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Heat oven to 325 F. Place peaches in an 8-by-8-inch casserole dish. Toss 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar with peaches. Mix 1 cup sugar and self-rising flour in a bowl and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, heat milk and butter on low heat. When butter is melted, remove from heat and mix in sugar and flour mixture. Add vanilla flavoring.
Pour mixture over peaches and bake 20 minutes or until firm.
