1 (8-count) can refrigerated crescent rolls
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut in fourths
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups orange juice (not concentrate)
Vanilla ice cream
Separate rolls. Wrap one apple fourth in each roll, pinching dough together to seal. Place in a 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Combine sugar and orange juice in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour over rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, until dumplings are golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Makes 8 servings.
