CHOCOLATE-COVERED COCONUT BALLS

CHOCOLATE-COVERED COCONUT BALLS

Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 (16-ounce) boxes powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
2 cups flaked coconut
2 cups finely chopped pecans
1-1 1/2 (24-ounce) packages chocolate almond bark

Preparation

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Blend in milk and heat through. Remove from heat; gradually mix in sugar and salt. Add coconut and pecans, mixing together thoroughly. Chill dough until easy to handle. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and place in freezer 1 hour. Melt chocolate according to package directions, melting about half the package at a time. Remove a few balls at the time from the freezer and dip in melted chocolate until coated. Place on wax paper and let set. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. Makes 5-6 dozen.
