JACK’S BROWNIE TRIFLE

Ingredients

1 (family-size) package brownie mix
1 (16-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping
1 large box instant chocolate fudge pudding mix
1 large box instant vanilla pudding mix
6 cups milk, divided
1 (1.4-ounce) milk chocolate English toffee candy bar, crushed*
1 (12.25-ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping, optional
1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Cool completely; crumble into pieces and set aside. In a mixing bowl, prepare fudge pudding mix as directed on package, using 3 cups milk. Prepare vanilla pudding mix with the remaining 3 cups milk in a separate bowl. In a glass trifle dish, place half the crumbled brownies. Spread half the vanilla pudding over the brownies and one-third of the whipped topping over the pudding. Sprinkle with half of the crushed candy bar. Top with half of the fudge pudding; drizzle half of the caramel topping over pudding, if desired. Repeat layers. Spread remaining whipped topping over caramel layer. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cover and chill well before serving. (*Joy uses either a Heath bar or Nestle Crunch bar.)
