LAYERED TACO DIP

Ingredients

2 (10-ounce) containers bean dip
1 1/2 teapoons garlic salt
1 1/2 teaspoons hot sauce
3 avocados, peeled and mashed*
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 (16-ounce) container sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
2-3 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 (4-ounce) can black olives, drained and chopped
2-3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine bean dip, garlic salt and hot sauce. Spread in a 9- x 13-inch pan. Combine avocados and lemon juice. Spread over bean dip layer. Combine salt, pepper, sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning mix. Spread over avocado layer. Layer, in order, the green onions, tomatoes, olives and cheese. Chill; serve with tortilla chips. (*Can substitute 1 (16-ounce) container guacamole dip for avocados and lemon juice.)
