TOASTED PECANS
Ingredients
1 quart pecan halves
1/4 cup salt
Preparation
Place pecans in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt and add water to cover pecans. Soak for 30 minutes, stirring twice. Drain on paper towels for 2 hours. Place on large cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes and watching carefully to keep from burning.
