1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour

Melt margarine in a 3-quart casserole dish in a 325-degree oven. Combine remaining sugar, flour, salt, and milk in a mixing bowl. Mix well to remove lumps. Pour over melted margarine; do not stir. Spoon peaches and liquid over batter; do not stir.
Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour, until top is lightly browned. Makes 8–10 servings.
