SCALLOPED POTATOES
Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick
Salt and pepper
3-4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cups milk
Preparation
Boil potatoes in water to cover 2-3 minutes. Drain well. In a greased 2-quart casserole dish, place a single layer of potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon flour. Top with small pats of butter. Continue to layer in same manner until all of the potatoes are used. Pour milk over the potatoes until the top is almost covered. Dot with butter. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until potatoes are golden brown. Makes 4-6 servings.
