Apple Dapple Pound Cake
Ingredients
Terri Gilley, Cullman County
3 cups sifted self-rising flour
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
1 cup oil
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups raw apples, chopped fine
Sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup milk
¾ cup butter
Preparation
Mix oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add sifted flour to 1st mixture. Fold in pecans and apples. Bake in a bundt pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Sauce:
Mix and cook 3 minutes. Pour over cake while cake is hot. Let cake cool before removing. Garnish with apples and pecans.
