Ingredients

25-30 pods fresh okra
Salt to taste
1/2 cup oil

Preparation

Wash okra and cut into thin slices. Salt. Pour oil into a black iron skillet and heat over high heat. Add okra; cover. Reduce heat and cook, stirring often, until tender, about 30 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
