Blueberry Torte Filling
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
1 quart frozen blueberries
Preparation
In top of a double boiler, combine sugar and cornstarch. Slowly add water, blending well. Add frozen blueberries. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. (NOTE: For Strawberry Torte, add 4 tablespoons strawberry gelatin to sugar mixture, and substitute 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced, for blueberries.)
