Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 can tomato soup
1 (16-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 (16-ounce) can kidney beans, undrained
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until beef is browned. Drain. Add soup, tomatoes, beans, chili powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder, stirring well. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle each serving with cheese. Makes 5-6 servings.
