Ingredients

1 (5- to 6-pound) Boston butt pork roast
Salt
Barbecue Sauce:
2 sticks margarine
2 cups ketchup
1 cup white vinegar
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Dash of red pepper
Dash of black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder

Preparation

Salt all surfaces of roast well. Place in large crockpot. Do not add water. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours. Carefully remove roast from crockpot. Place on grill over indirect heat; grill 45 minutes, turning once. Chop meat; serve with barbecue sauce. Makes 10-12 servings. To prepare sauce: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Will keep, refrigerated, for several weeks. Heat before serving. —Cheryl Till, Dallas County
