Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
2 cups dry breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preparation
Combine beef and sausage with breadcrumbs, egg, onion, milk, salt and pepper. Mix well. Pack mixture into a 5- by 9-inch loaf pan. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. Spread over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Immediately remove from pan onto serving platter. Makes 4-6 servings. (NOTE: For easy removal, cut baked meatloaf in half with a spatula, remove in two pieces and place back together on platter.)
