MARTHA WASHINGTON CANDY

Ingredients

2 (16-ounce) boxes powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart chopped pecans
1 (14-ounce) package flaked coconut
1 bar paraffin wax
1 (4-ounce) bar German chocolate

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, condensed milk, vanilla, pecans and coconut, blending well. Using lightly buttered hands, roll dough in 1-inch balls; place on cookie sheets and chill overnight. Melt paraffin and chocolate in top of a double boiler over medium heat. Using a toothpick, dip candy in chocolate one piece at a time. Place on wax paper and let harden. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 100 pieces.
