PEANUT BUTTER HAYSTACKS

Ingredients

1 (12-ounce) jar creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup peanut oil
2 cups finely chopped peanuts
1 loaf bread, frozen
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
1 cup coconut
3/4 cup light brown sugar

Preparation

Freeze bread over night. Cut each slice of bread into 5 or 6 strips. Place strips on a pan and bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes. Mix oil, peanut butter and caramel topping. Microwave on high 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds. Dip strips of bread in peanut butter mixture. Chop peanuts and coconut in food processor. Stir in brown sugar. Roll strips in peanut and coconut mixture. Store in air tight container. Tonya Barton, Caryville, Fla.
