SNAPPY BARBECUE BEEF SANDWICHES

Ingredients

1 (4-pound) beef chuck roast
1 cup ketchup
1 cup barbecue sauce
4 cups chopped celery
2 cups water
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Place roast in a slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl, mixing well. Pour over roast. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours. Remove roast, reserving sauce. Shred roast with a fork, or slice, if desired. Add enough of the reserved sauce to beef to keep beef moist but not soggy. Serve on rolls or buns. Makes 20-24 servings.
